Hi! My name is Kate Emily Ferguson, I am a 21 years old who is spends her time studying Fashion Communication and Promotion at Nottingham Trent University, whilst also working as a freelance fashion writer. 

 

To me fashion is creative, seductive, always changing and a form of art, to some a religion. Personally, I use fashion to express myself and show my personality but also to look good. I admire the ever changing fashion culture and follow new seasonal trends, high street or designer, which can be influenced through a cycle of past eras of fashions.

As for other creative areas in fashion, I have always had a passion for reading endless amounts of fashion magazines and engaging in creative writing which I aspire to one day, take on as a future career role within the industry.

Over the course of my portfolio you will come across many projects that I have undertaken throughout my course or outside of university that all communicate different types of creative and fashionable contexts that are influential upon the world of fashion.
