After taking great visual inspiration from the work of Fred Butler and his design for Cube PR Invite back in October 2008, as part of my self promotion work I carried out a photoshoot at Mayfield studio in Newcastle to create my own response to the stylist's piece of work. Since I wanted my business card to be photographic and showcase the use of prop design, I then converted these images into possible front cover images for my final business card design. Although I took influence from Fred Butler's work, I ensured that the props that I used were inspired by my own visual interests to communicate my individual identity throughout the image. Furthermore, the typography used was created by myself using oversized foam boards and cutting equipment and each photo is my own photography.
